Brain Cortex - The outer layer that consists of neurons that transmit information through nerve impulses. Receives signals from the external world and sends messages for our body to respond.
The Brain is divided into two hemispheres. Left and Right

Creativity (art/music)
The left hemisphere of the brain controls the right side of the body
The right hemisphere of the brain controls the left side of the body
There are four lobes in the brain
Frontal-
Cognitive functions
Controls voluntary movements/activity
Controls emotions
Temporal-
Memory (integrating them with sensations of taste, sound, sight and touch)
Facial Recognition
Parietal-
Gives meaning to senses (processes information about temperature, taste, touch and movement)
Occipital-
Processes visual information
